What We're Doing:
Project Plan
The purpose of this project is to improve traffic flow, reduce out-of-direction travel, and improve safety on Arthur Avenue from 6th Street to 5th Street. The project is needed to meet the current and future demands of a mixed variety of motor vehicles, bicycles, and pedestrians.
The Arthur Avenue reconstruction project consists of realigning the eastbound leg of U.S. Highway 12 from 6th Street along Arthur Avenue to more directly connect to the Madison Street Bridge. Through traffic will no longer be required to loop along 5th Street and Maurice Avenue by the Adams Center.
The project is located in the city of Missoula, in Missoula County.
